Chhavi Jain is a Fine Arts Consultant and a global professional with expertise in curation, writing and arts management. She specializes in the contemporary, Indigenous and diasporic contexts of art. Over the years has gained experience in India and the United States— she has consulted with major organizations, such as the RISD Museum and Studio Loba LLC in Rhode Island, and Anant Art Gallery, Inherited Arts Forum, Yatra Books (publishing house) and Teamwork Arts Pvt. Ltd. (production company) in New Delhi.
Wielding two Master’s degrees in English Literature and Global Arts and Cultures from Delhi University and Rhode Island School of Design, respectively, she is proficient in critical theory, art history, literary history, postcolonial and liberal studies. In her professional practice, Jain is driven to amplify marginalized voices and create equitable and inclusive avenues within the art & culture industry. Through her work, she underscores the vital role of curation, research, and communication in the growth of organizations and empowering individuals.
Jain has received a number of awards and recommendations from industry leaders throughout her career, such as, Graduate Commons Grant, SPUR Fund and RISD Merit Fellowship (to pursue a Master’s degree at the School). She has also been invited to events, workshops and talk sessions. Her curatorial work has been covered by prominent media houses such as, India Today, The Week, The Pioneer Daily and The Patriot, and her writings have been published in various art newsletters, journals and magazines such as, volume. 1, Art&Deal and All About Book Publishing. Jain excels in providing consultation services to art organizations, institutions, artists, and budding professionals in the field.
